“Time went almost still, to the point that I couldn’t believe my watch every time I looked at it. No doubt about it: the illusion of time, and of past and future with it, had disappeared almost completely. I looked at the sun-splashed grass and trees in the park and I saw them transfigured: they were no longer ordinary grass and trees. They were a vision from Paradise. It was still clear that they were grass, bushes and trees, but they were shining, literally sparkling with an inner light that was not of this world — or at least not of the plan of reality we usually inhabit in our ordinary state of consciousness.”
